Calibration Technician

Absolute Measurements is a rapidly growing small business seeking a Lead Calibration Technician. Duties include routine and complex work related to the repair and calibration of process instrumentation, laboratory instrumentation, test, measurement and diagnostic equipment. Must be an organized, resourceful, highly motivated and dedicated problem solver. Supervisory experience is preferred.

Qualifications

Minimum 4 years’ experience in the field of Metrology; including installation, calibration and repair of test equipment.

Knowledgeable of ISO 17025 and ANSI Z540.1 quality systems.

Possesses an understanding of FDA regulations, GMPs, GLPs and clean room working environments.

The ability to read, write and interpret: blueprints, schematic diagrams, specification manuals and calibration procedures.

Must be physically able to perform basic maintenance tasks such as climbing ladders, working in confined spaces and lifting heavy objects up to 50 lbs.

Education

Formal training in Metrology, such as PMEL or TMDE gained through the military or an Associate’s Degree in a technical discipline related to calibration and instrumentation.

Travel

A valid driver’s license is required. A company vehicle is provided for onsite work. Out of state overnight travel may be required up to 5%.
